                              RESOLUTION NO. 20801
                 
                 
                  A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, THE
                  ADMINISTRATOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL
                  SERVICES OR THE CITY FINANCE OFFICER TO
                  EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED TO THE OWNER OF THE
                  GRAND HOTEL FOR A FOUR-INCH ENCROACHMENT OF
                  THE GRAND HOTEL ONTO A CITY ALLEYWAY AND TO
                  EXECUTE AN EASEMENT TO THE OWNER OF THE GRAND
                  HOTEL FOR ENCROACHMENTS OF THE PARAPET,
                  ENTRANCE STEPS AND AWNING OF THE GRAND HOTEL
                  ONTO SAID CITY ALLEYWAY, 14TH STREET AND
                  MARKET STREET.

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor, Administrator of the
       Department of General Services or the City Finance Officer be and 

       are hereby authorized to execute a quitclaim deed to the owner of 

       the Grand Hotel for a four-inch encroachment of the Grand Hotel
       onto a city alleyway and to execute an easement to the owner of
       the Grand Hotel for encroachments of the parapet, entrance steps
       and awning of the Grand Hotel onto said city alleyway, 14th 
Street
       and Market Street.
